These plants exhibit increased activity of heat shock proteins (HSPs), which prevent protein denaturation at high temperatures. In addition, these hybrids have effective antioxidant defenses , minimizing cell damage from reactive oxygen species during heat stress.

As part of this technology, we selected plants with high protein thermostability and resistance to heat stress.
