Resistance to ear mold:
Breeding methods have allowed the isolation of corn lines that produce fungicidal proteins that effectively suppress the activity of mold pathogens such as Penicillium and Aspergillus
Protection against blistering and flying soot:
We obtained hybrids with strengthened cell walls, making them less vulnerable to basidiomycetes, including Ustilago zeae and Sorosporium reilianum
Resistance to Fusarium:
Innovative methods have allowed the identification of corn lines that have enhanced defense mechanisms against pathogens, such as Fusarium moniliforme , and are able to neutralize mycotoxins.
Comprehensive disease resistance:
CornGuard-PhytoShield technology enables corn to adapt to various threats by activating the plant's natural mechanisms, such as strengthening cell walls, stimulating antioxidant production, and activating defense responses at the molecular level.
Corn hybrids created using this technology have successfully passed all stages of testing and proven their effectiveness in the field, ensuring high yields even under conditions of intense pathogen infection. Thus, CornGuard-PhytoShield becomes a key element for modern agribusiness in Ukraine
